international student wants to become Canada immigrant

Hi Daisy,

i am an international student from hong kong.. i am now a 4th year student from SFU studying economics minor in sociology. i came to canada since 1997 and study recieve high school education in canada.. i want to know what are the possibilites for me to success to become an immigrant?? will i get a chance to reach 67 points? my uncle and aunt and cousins have received permanent resident since 1998... will i get any points from them??

i am on work study program in SFU now... have been working for half a year already, i think i will be able to continue working at the lab as a research assistant... and also i have just applied for a off-campus work permit...

i will be graduating from SFU next year (2007) and i would like to apply as immigrant, do i have any chance??

問題1 --

我今年35歲單身﹐從1995年大學畢業到現在一直沒有正式工作過﹐生活無憂﹐家裡可以支持我的日常開支﹐只賺過最高每年4000-5000加幣的收入﹐教彈鋼琴。2000年以前一直有以『自顧﹐低收入』這樣的條件報稅﹐每年都退回198加元的GST。後來聽說﹐像我這麼低的收入的人根本無須每年報稅﹐甚至可以幾年才報一次。於是我從2000年稅季到現在都沒有報過稅﹐反正我每年都賺不夠納稅條件﹐也不太在意退款的198元。從2002年中開始從溫哥華回香港生活﹐由於跟爸爸媽媽一起住﹐就更不用工作了﹐並於2004年報讀碩士﹐一直沒有收入﹐所以想沒有必要報什麼稅了。但現在已經回香港4年了﹐目前是還沒工作﹐整段日子(2002中-2006都沒有工作或其他投資收入﹐2002上半年也只賺過大約2000加元)。我這種無收入人士究竟還須要報稅? 需要補報嗎(2000-2006)? 補報的手續我不瞭解﹐您能提供這方面的服務嗎?

我剛剛在香港唸完音樂科文學碩士﹐將來『有可能』會找到一份好的工作﹐但我人又不住在加拿大﹐應如何避免交雙重稅的問題﹐將來我要怎麼做﹐才可以避免在海外工作期間﹐還要交稅給加拿大政府? 您能幫我辦理什麼手續之類的嗎

How to choose a right agent or immigration company?

Dear Ms. Chang,

I have visited your website. There are lots of  helpful imformation to a being immigant person like me.

How to choose a "right agent / immigration company" is now what I am concerned. Some say they can shorten the waiting time. Some promise that their fee can be refundable if the case is unsuccessful. After visiting your webpage, I have found it won't be as easy as they say.

I have my IT Master degree in US and stay in a Goverment Bureau for a while. I have contacted the immigation company in both Taiwan and USA. I am ready but not to know "How to immigate."  What will be the worse for the immigrant person? Wether are there some cases for the immigrant applicant's waiting time over 14 months? How should  the applicant do?

Sorry about using lots of "I."  Being a freestlye writer, you may experience too many things. At your point view, may I seek for your adivce to help me extend the life plan?

請教有關申請牛奶金問題

我們一家是2002年1月12日Landing,住了一星期即回國,直到2003年9月為領楓葉卡,再次來到加國,也是住了一星期即回國,我先生今年(2006)1月1日入境,而我跟兩個小孩於今年6月28日來加,此次是打算長住,2002至2006年這期間我們都未在加拿大報稅,如今想申請兩個小孩牛奶金及GST/HST CREDIT.

想請教下列幾個問題:

一、兩者可分開申請嗎?(比如先申請GST/HST CREDIT)

二、申請表上需填報過去三年全球收入,因在國內夫妻均有上班,年度淨所得約CAD5萬,國內稅率較這邊低,不知會不會因此被要求補稅?

三、我們是現在申請還是等明年報過稅再申請比較好?何者較有利?(先生目前有在上班,收入不高,年總收入約CAD2萬)
