question about entrance visa to Canada

Dear Daisy,

I got a question about my entrance visa. I am working in Canada right now.
I have one-year work permit, which will be expired in Aug. 2007. I am
planning to go back to China for a short visit, but my entrance visa is
expired. That means I need to renew my entrance visa for returning to
Canada. I have applied the application of immigration. Does it effect my
application for entrance visa? Is my application of entrance visa going to
be rejected since I have applied immigration?

Sincerely & blessings,

Monica

朱小燕回覆

Dear Monica:

There should have no relevance between the two applications. Each application has its own merit. However, I believe your single entry visa was authorized by one of the Canadian Consulate Generals In China. They were known for lacking of compassion in granting visas for multiple entrance. I would give serious consideration on this matter if I were you. If possible at all, do not rock the boat. Canadian visa officers in China seem to have been working under different mentality than elsewhere.

God Bless!

Daisy
